PPROJECTS ON KIBBUTZ YOTVATA

Shva

The goal of this project is to introduce young Ethiopian men and women, (after their army service), to the kibbutz movement for up to a period of two years in order to help them integrate better in Israeli society.

Rachme

This is a joint project with Jordan. Through the imagination and belief of one of our Kibbutz members (currently the manager of the Agricultural Research Center of the Southern Arava), a historic project was undertaken. Some of our Jordanian neighbours from nearby villages were brought to the kibbutz for a period of three months to learn modern agricultural techniques.

Naaleh

This is part of a joint project between the ministry of Education and various educational institutions which originated with the Jewish Agency. Young Jewish teenagers from the CIS come to Israel to live, finishing their last years of high school here before their army service. The kibbutz currently hosts 22, the second such group.

Ulpan

People from all over the world come to the kibbutz to study Hebrew. They live here, working and studying for a five month period and being introduced to the kibbutz way of life.

The Volunteer Program

The kibbutz takes on young people from many different countries for periods of a minimum of two months, giving them the opportunity to live and work with us and see our way of life up close.
